WESTFIELD - Charles E. Quick, 80, of 133 Union St., Westfield, died Wednesday (Nov. 28, 2012), in Westfield Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 9, 1932, in Ogdensburg, N.Y., the son of the late Morris L. and Myra Chase Quick.
Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1953 to 1957, during the Korean War.
Charles retired as the contracts administrator in Aerospace at Moog Inc. in East Aurora, N.Y.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Village Advisory Board, Moose Lodge and the American Legion, all of Westfield. He also belonged to the Retirees Bowling league and was the treasurer of the West-field Food Pantry.
Charles was a graduate of Mayville Central School and Alfred State College. Charles and his wife, Louise had lived in Lancas-ter, N.Y., for 41 years, upon retiring they moved to Westfield in 1999.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Webber Quick, whom he married July 31, 1954, in Mayville; one daughter, Susan (Chris) Resig of Liverpool, N.Y.; three grandsons: John of New York City, Michael (Hannah) of Falls Church, Va., and Steven (Megan) of Irondequoit, N.Y.; great granddaughter, Ava of Irondequoit; one brother, Morris of Denver, Colo.; two sisters: Helen of Miami, Fla., and Barbara of Atlanta, Ga.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie; and a brother, Robert.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, in the West-field United Methodist Church. The Rev. Matthew Golibersuch will officiate. Burial will be in the May-ville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 in the Freay Funeral Home, May-ville, NY.
