Westfield Seniors To Meet

Westfield Senior Citizens will meet for a potluck dinner at noon on Dec. 13 in the YWCA. Members attending should take a dish to pass, their table service and a $5 gift for a gift exchange. Gifts should be labeled for men or women. New officers will be installed. Gladys Hess, Trudy Stafford, Erma Lloyd, Ann Cochran and Darla Augur, the kitchen committee, will provide dessert.

Shirley Kolpien, president, called a recent meeting, attended by 32 members, to order. Joyce Wainwright, chaplain, read devotions. New members Lorraine Brasda was welcomed. The nominating committee presented the slate of new officers. They are Ms. Kolpien, president; Geri Harper, vice president; Sylvia Colbey, secretary; and Dolores Kaufman, treasurer.

Discussion was on the Dec. 11 trip to Cleveland to visit the James A. Garfield House and Christmas display in GE's Nela Park, sponsored by the Westfield Recreation Department. The cost is $38 per person, and reservations are required; call 326-4243.

Celebrating birthdays were Dolores Kaufman, Wally Haley, John Osterhoudt, Pauline Winslow and Nick Alonge. Nancy and Richard Sanick observed their wedding anniversary.

Tom Schmidt, of the Western New York Educational Service Council, spoke on the merger of Westfield and Brocton schools.
