Turnabout is fair play. Recently I was critical of New York state government for the million dollar reconstruction of Fairmount Avenue entryways and sidewalks. A far better expenditure of taxpayer funds has been the recent local roadways upgrades. Cases in point include East Terrace Avenue and East Summit Avenue in Lakewood extending into Jackson, Dunham and Boulevard Avenues in Celoron. Further east is the fine work on upper north Main Street and East Second Street in Jamestown. All of these roads have been beautifully asphalted and well marked. All are a pleasure to behold and to drive on. It's been taxpayer money well spent. Hats off to our local officials, workers and fellow taxpayers.
