Ross Grange Plans Christmas Party

FALCONER - The charter was draped in memory of Neva Carlson at the recent meeting of Ross Grange. Memorial committee appointed was Mary Carlberg, Elaine Melquist and Emory Holmquist.

A thank-you was received from the Erie, Pa. Veterans Hospital for cards sent for Veterans Day. A note of thanks was received from the family of Laurene Rice.

The results of the recent Holiday Happenings Craft Show was given.

The program presented by Betty Wakefield, lecturer, was about Henry Ford, 2008 being the 100th anniversary of production line Model T Fords. Items remembering the Model T were given including a jackknife, gas gauge, oil, key, heater, tire patches and accessories. She also read information about the Model A.

The Ross Grange Christmas party will be Dec.10 at the Falcons Nest Banquet Hall. Snacks will be served at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Reservations must be made to Mary Walker at 665-3338 by Tuesday. Lucille Miller will present a musical program.

Gingerbread boys with lists of items to be purchased for the Jamestown Boys and Girls Club for children's Christmas gifts were distributed and will be brought to the Ross Christmas Party on Dec. 10. Items should not be wrapped and the sales slips should be turned in.

Those attending are reminded to bring socks, mittens, underwear and hats which will be given to elementary school nurses in Falconer and Cassadaga schools.
