Annual Bazaar Set For Saturday
The St. Nicholas Orthodox Church Ladies Erene Society will hold their annual Christmas bazaar and lunch from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are available at the door. Chairwomen for the event are Christina Anderson; Helen Vulgaris, bake sale; Norman O'Kelley, Christmas crafts; Virginia Cummings, lunch; Violet Kianos, tickets; Athena Dimitry, giveaway; Stephanie Lampropolis, salads; and Athena Constantine, kitchen. A bake table will be available.
Herring Breakfast Set For Sunday
LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood American Legion will host a herring breakfast on Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon. Eggs and pork chops or eggs and sausage will also be available. Church Now Accepting Items
The Community Outreach Center located at First Lutheran Church, corner of Chandler and Center streets is accepting donations of small household items and clothing (in good condition). Items may be dropped off during regular center hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Panama Board Cancels Meeting
PANAMA - The Panama Central School Board of Education is cancelling its scheduled Dec. 3 board meeting to allow board members the opportunity to attend a meeting with state Education Commissioner Dr. John King.
Landfill Forum Set For Tuesday
ELLERY - Chautauqua County Legislator Vince Horrigan and Chautauqua County Director of Public Facilities George Spanos will co-host a public forum on the Chautauqua County Landfill this Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at the Town of Ellery building on Sunnyside Avenue in Bemus Point. A review and discussion on the county landfill will include operations, monitoring, reporting and future forum plans. The public is invited to attend.
