Marc C. Buck

RANDOLPH - Marc C. Buck, 86, of Bowen Road, Randolph, passed away Saturday (Nov. 24, 2012), in WCA Hospital in Jamestown.

Marc was born Dec. 7, 1925, in Randolph, N.Y, the son of the late Howard Buck and Helen Drew Buck Blood.

Mr. Buck attended a one-room school house on Vol-lentine Road in Randolph and later Randolph Central School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his Country during World War II from September 15, 1944, to July 14, 1946, and re-ceived his military G.E.D. in recent years.

Marc was employed by the former Borden Inc. in Randolph, and retired on Jan. 9, 1968, from injuries sustained in a work-related accident. In earlier years, he had worked with his brother, Marion, as milk haulers, and had also worked for the former Randolph Foundry for 20 years. In his retire-ment, Marc delivered parts for Randolph Auto Supply.

He was a member of the Randolph American Legion Post 181 and Ran-dolph Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 6533. He loved his family dearly, and especially his great grandsons, he and his late wife raised more than 25 foster children over 20 years. Marc loved music and will dearly be missed by his dogs.

He is survived by three children: Emily See and husband, Jim, Debra Buck, Jeff Buck and wife. Rhonda, all of Randolph; two grandsons: Adam and Ryan See; two great-grandsons: Gavyn and Skylar See; two sisters: Winnie Fillmon of Fla., and Cathy Uhl and husband, Harry, of Randolph; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his wife, Irene Flagg Buck on Nov. 4, 1993; and siblings: Veva Stacey, Ruth Peterson, Marion Buck, Harold Blood and Maurice Buck.

At Marc's request, visitation will not be observed. Inurnment will be in the Steamburg Cemetery, where a memorial service will be held at a later date with a time to be an-nounced.

Memorials may be sent to the Randolph Rescue Squad; or the Chautauqua County Humane Society.
