Mark A. Hess, 59, of 137 Valleyview Ave., died Sun-day, Nov. 25, 2012, in UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie.
A native of Jamestown, he was born May 25, 1953, a son of the late Allen and Agnes O'Brien Hess.
He owned and operated Montagna's Furniture, and earlier had worked in the tool and die industry for many years.

He was a member of Jamestown Sertoma and the Little Valley Rod and Gun Club.
He enjoyed playing Santa Claus and Christmas time and cosponsoring the city of Jamestown Easter egg hunt.
Surviving are his wife, the former Roberta York, whom he married Sept, 2, 1972; a daughter, Ashley Hess of Ashville; a brother, Neil (Linda) Hess of Pittsfield, Pa.; a sister, Lauri (Vern) Mee of Falconer; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Yvonne Loewel and Judith Crowell.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Dea-con Samuel Pellerito will officiate.
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
