Village Makes Recycling Change

FALCONER - Falconer residents will soon see changes to the way recyclables are collected, according to Mayor Dave Krieg. Casella Waste Services is now collecting garbage and recyclables for the village. Beginning Dec. 4 and Dec. 5, all recyclables will be picked up every other week and do not need to be sorted. A new calendar will be mailed to all village residents in the next few weeks with details. For more information, call Casella Waste Services at 664-3958 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Mayville To Host Donuts With Santa

MAYVILLE - The Mayville Fire Department will be hosting its annual Donuts With Santa, on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Carlson Community Center, Lakeside Park, Mayville. Donuts will be available during a visit with Santa Claus.

Findley Lake Plans Auction

FINDLEY LAKE - The Findley Lake Volunteer Fire Department is having a Christmas auction on Dec. 1 at the fire hall, Main Street, Findley Lake. Doors and kitchen will open at 5:30 p.m. with the auction beginning ta 6 p.m. For more information, call MaryLouise at 490-2724.

Bemus Point Calendars On Sale

BEMUS POINT - The Bemus Point Historical Society has announced that 2013 Historical Calendars are back. Sale of each calendar benefits Bemus Point Historical Society. Fire District To Meet Wednesday

CHERRY CREEK - The regular meeting of the Cherry Creek Fire District commissioners will be held on Wednesday. The meeting will be held at the Cherry Creek fire hall, starting at 7 p.m. This meeting is open to the public.

Library To Be Collection Point

FREWSBURG - Myers Memorial Library will be participating in Z&M's Military Care Package drive this year. Myers will serve as a collection point until 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29. Items may also be taken to the Falconer Z&M Ag and Turf on Lindquist Drive by Saturday, Dec. 1. A list of suggested items is on the library's website MyersMemorialLibrary.weebly.com.You may also call the library at 569-5515 for more information.

Farman Library Plans Story Time

ELLINGTON - The Farman Free Library is hosting Bedtime Stories for the Very Young on Wednesday, Dec. 5. The theme is "(Indoor) Sledding Party." Children aged infant through first grade are invited to participate with a very easy craft, "sled" rides with apple juice and stories to round out the evening. Participants may bring a clean sled or laundry basket if desired along with sippy cups or bottles as needed. The activity begins at 6 p.m. Reservations are not required but helpful. For more information contact the library at 287-2945. The Farman Free Library is located at 760 Thornton Road in downtown Ellington. Hours are Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to noon.
