William and Jan Kuppinger of Lakewood, N.Y. announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole E., to Derek J. Garland, the son of Martin and Lorraine Garland of Frewsburg, N.Y. Garland is also the grandson of Laura Bennett of Randolph, N.Y.
Miss Kuppinger is a graduate of Southwestern Central School and earned a master's degree from St. Bonaventure University. She is employed by the Guidance Center in Bradford, Pa. Her fiance is a graduate of Randolph Central School, and is employed by Cummins JEP.
A June 15, 2013, wedding is planned.
