The Lakewood Starz YMCA Gymnastics team kicked off its 2012-2013 competition season recently in a tri-meet in Franklin, Pa.
Ashlyn Saracki, Level 4, recorded a 9.05 first-place finish on the vault and was second on the uneven bars (7.4), balance beam (7.3) and the all-around (31.1).
Mikayla Johnson, Level 6, was second on the uneven bars (6.65), floor exercise (7.9) and the all-around (29.25).

Other top finishes included Mariette Williams, first on bars (7.05) and Autumn Bertges, second in vault (8.65).
The Starz return to action on Dec. 1 and 2 with an Invitational at Franklin.
