Raymond J. Krull, 90, of 8 Maplewood Ave., Jamestown, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility.
He was born Oct. 23, 1922, in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of the late Albert and Lillian Austin Krull.
Raymond was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during World War II. For his service, he was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal and the Presidential Unit Citation with ribbon bar and one bronze star awarded the 4th Marine Division, Rein, Saipan and Tinian and the Assault Troops, VAC, Rein, Iwo Jima. Raymond worked for the Telephone Co. for 33 years, beginning at Western Electric in Buffalo, and then Jamestown Telephone, Alltel, and Windstream, retiring in 1985. He was a member of AARP, the Lakewood American Legion Post 1286 for over 40 years and a former Chautauqua County 4-H leader.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean Conroe Krull, whom he married July 26, 1947; four children: Spencer of Jamestown, Thomas (Janelle) of North Carolina, Barbara Krull Dundon (Dennis) of Skaneateles, N.Y., and James (Cheryl) of Ashville, N.Y.; four granddaughters: Kaitlin Krull Dominiak (Paul) of England, Sarah Condon of Skaneateles, N.Y., Kelsey Krull of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Kylie Krull of Ashville, N.Y.; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Dominiak of England; and siblings: Dorris Bindig and John Krull, both of Orchard Park, N.Y., and Margery Lyon of LeRoy, N.Y.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: George and Robert Krull.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday Nov. 24, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Deacon Cathy Smith will officiate.
Burial with military honors will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Saturday in the funeral home.
