CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

CARROLL - No charges have been filed after a one-car accident on Frew Run Road in Carroll at 9:17 a.m. Monday. According to a police report, Karen E. Lasota, 59, of Frewsburg was driving east on Frew Run Road when she lost control of her vehicle. The car went across the road and came to rest on its passenger side against a tree. Lasota was not injured. Sheriff's deputies were assisted at the scene by Frewsburg volunteer firefighters.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE

LAKEWOOD - Peter M. Hansen, of Lakewood was charged with criminal nuisance and disorderly conduct on Nov. 10 after Lakewood-Busti police and Lakewood volunteer firefighters responded to a house fire on East Summit Avenue, Lakewood. Officers found there was no house fire, though Hansen was burning contracting and household refuse in his fireplace. The smoke prompted concerned citizens to call 911. Police report Hansen had previously been warned against such actions. A warrant was later issued for Hansen, who was arraigned and will be in Busti Town Court later.

LAKEWOOD - Melissa M. Edington, 23, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny at 7:26 p.m. Nov. 11 after allegedly placing merchandise belonging to Wal-Mart into her diaper bag and trying to leave the store. She will be in court later.

Josh A. Moore, 32, was charged with petit larceny, resisting arrest and second-degree assault on Nov. 9 after trying to steal a television from the Sears store in the Chautauqua Mall. According to a police report, an off-duty police officer was injured trying to stop Moore while police were responding to the scene. Moore was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail and will be in court later.

ELLICOTT POLICE

Jennifer L. Ingerson, 43, of 247 Hazzard St., Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, failure to maintain lane and refusal to take a pre-screen test on Nov. 12. Police report receiving a report of a vehicle traveling west on Interstate 86, approaching Exit 13, that was all over the road. Officers found the vehicle and reported seeing it veer from its lane several times. The vehicle was pulled over and Ingerson was charged. A breath test showed she had a .17 percent blood-alcohol content. She will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
