Inaction Over Benghazi Bombing Is Unbelievable

November 20, 2012
The Post-Journal

To the Readers' Forum:

In case you haven't noticed, over a month ago one of our American ambassadors and three of his associates were murdered in Benghazi. To date the Obama administration has released several conflicting stories and excuses for its responsibility in the tragic and, possibly avoidable deaths, of these brave men. The inaction is unbelievable!

Certainly the appointment of a Select Investigating Committee is a reasonable action. Four US diplomatic citizens were killed.

Similar committees were demanded to be appointed for Watergate when Nixon was president. The accusation was for lying and breaking into the Democratic Headquarters in Washington. Not death.

The Iranian Contra affair was one of allegedly secretly moving armaments. Not death. A committee was appointed.

Guess being appointed to one of these groups is similar to being a member of a firing squad. The urgency and results depend on whether you are a "shooter or a shootee."

Never thought our country would be in such horrible shape!
