Southwestern-Maple Grove opened play in the Lakeshore High School Hockey Leaguewith a loss 7-5 against Meadville and a win 8-3 over Fort LeBoeuf.
Meadville, Ryan Schutte lead the team with two goals and one assist against Meadville. Also scoring goals were Alexander Carlson, Bryce Moyer and Nate Stephens. Andrew Farnham contributed three assists and Joey Gerace and Thomas Sirianno had one each.
Noah Weinstein was in net.
In the win against Fort LeBoeuf, Carlson had three goals. Scoring their first career high school goals were Nick Brooker, Branden Decker, Graham Josephson, Elizabeth Gerace and Sirianno. Farnham had three assists and Moyer, Tyler Chase, Tommy Gerace, Schutte, Josephson and Sirianno had one each.
