Alice M. Burch

Alice M. Burch, 66, of Ellington joined her Lord and Savior on Saturday (Nov. 17, 2012) in WCA Hospital surrounded by her family.

A lifelong area resident, she was born Jan. 17, 1946, in Warren, Pa., the daughter of the late Robert Woodward and Grace Burch. Alice was adopted and raised by Ross and Mable Nash Burch.

She was a graduate of Frewsburg High School and attended Jamestown Community College. Alice worked for many years at the Resource Center and as a PCA in home for Staff Builders, Jamestown, N.Y.

Alice enjoyed reading, writing poetry, photography, the outdoors and animals. She was a member of the Kennedy United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters: Wendy (Jeffrey) Spencer of Lakewood, and Lucinda (Darrell) Dye of Jamestown; two sons: Roger (Robin) Dulmus Jr. of Jamestown, and Daniel Dulmus of Ellington; six grandchildren: Steven Christy Jr., Kevin Christy, Randy Christy, Robert Marshall, Tristen Larsen and Jennifer Lawson; two great-grandchildren; four brothers: Richard "Tony" Burke of Florida, Merle Burke of Maryland, Kenneth (Patty) Burch of Jamestown, and David Hare of Randolph; three sisters: M. Avonelle Ekback of Florida, Beverly Lewis of New Jersey, and Nancy Rose of Westfield; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her twin children: Timothy and Tammy Dulmus in 1964; her father in 1980; her mother in 1983; and her two brothers: Richard and Clifford Harmon.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Falcon-er Funeral Home. The Rev. Jennifer Delahoy, pastor of Kennedy United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Friends will be received by the family from 7-9 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the funeral service Tuesday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be donated to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
