Doris M. Mattera, 94, formerly of Westfield, died Nov. 14, 2012, at the Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing in Greenhurst, N.Y., after a short illness.
She was born Dec. 10, 1917, in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of the late Paul and Olivia Bollman.
She worked in the clerical department of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Harrisburg, Pa.

Doris moved to Westfield 30 years ago to be with her family.
She is survived by her son, Paul A. (Kathy) Silzle of Mayville; grandchil-dren: Susan Applegrath of Mayville, Paul (Karen) Silzle Jr. of Jamestown, Christine (Tim) Sturges of Panama, Christopher (Liz) Silzle of California and Adam Mattera; great-grandchildren: Erin Applegrath of Erie, Pa., Kari (Joe) Cunningham of Ripley, David Applegrath of Mayville, Hannah and Jenna Silzle of Jamestown, Karleen Dash and Andy Sturges of Panama, and Beckett and Robert Silzle of California; one great-great-grandchild, Beth of California; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Bruce Silzle and Dominic Mattera; a brother, Paul A. Bollman Sr.; and a sister, Esther C. Craig.
A private funeral service will be held at the wishes of the family.
Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery in Philadelphia.
