Meadville Edges Jamestown Raiders

The Jamestown Raiders lost a close hockey decision to the Meadville Bulldogs Thursday night in the opening of the Lake Shore League.

Meadville broke a scoreless duel with two goals late in the second period and held on for a 2-1 win at the Jamestown Savings BankArena.

Jamestown got on the scoreboard during a two-man power play with four minutes left when Justin Andriaccio scored from Collin Abbott and Bill Krywy.

Tommy Fales made 15 saves for Jamestown.

Jamestown opens the Large School Division of the Western New York League Sunday in Olean.
