JHS Student Wins Ipad During IPOD Event

November 17, 2012
The Post-Journal

Edward Merwick of Jamestown High School was recently presented with a new iPad by Dave Johnson as part of the Dream It Do It IPOD (Industrial Possibilities and Opportunities Day) event at JCC in October.

Five iPads were given away by the Dream It Do It Program to area students. The event brought more than 500 area students together with 33 local manufacturers to learn more about the manufacturers that are located in Chautauqua County, what types of careers exist in advanced manufacturing and what education and skill levels manufacturers are looking for when filling open positions. The more manufacturers students talked to, the more tickets they received to enter the contest for the iPad.
