Leon Church Seeks New Members

LEON - The Leon Celebration Fellowship Church is welcoming new members.

In September, Sunday Services at 10 a.m. were resumed, by vote of its members. Services had been held at 6 p.m. for the summer for the convenience of the congregation.

Recently, church members hosted a "Cowboy Sunday" with all members wearing cowboy hats to help visualize the sermon that presented the Bible from a country perspective.

At the beginning of this school year, school supplies were collected and given to students at Pine Valley and Randolph schools. Church members will also put up a mitten tree and decorate it with mittens, scarves, hats and other clothing items that will be given to local children in need.

Services, led by Pastor Tom Maynard, are held at 10 a.m. Sundays at the historic church building in Leon.
