Patricia M. Phillips was presented with the John D. Hamilton award by Kevin K. Brombacher, Jamestown Community College Foundation board president.

"Pat's personal commitment and passion for JCC inspires us all," said Michael Moots, JCC Foundation executive director. "She personally gives of herself to serve and promote JCC wherever she goes and is truly one of JCC's great ambassadors."

A JCC alumna, Mrs. Phillips has been a member of the JCC Foundation board since 1999. She serves on the foundation's executive committee and as chairperson of the membership and personnel committee.

Mrs. Phillips was co-chair of JCC's Funding Excellence Campaign from 2004-2011 to raise public and private sector funds in support of building construction, scholarships, and special projects. The campaign culminated in the construction of the state-of-the-art Science Center which opened last year on the Jamestown Campus.

She volunteers regularly at the annual alumni mystery fundraiser, JCC Night at the Ballpark, and the USA Scholarship luncheon. She has been an active volunteer for the WCA Hospital Auxiliary, Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, Creche, Inc., and the Reg Lenna Center Arts in Education program. In past years she was involved in the PTA Local and District Board, as a St. Susan Center volunteer, and as a volunteer religious education teacher at St. John's Church. She was named the 2001 Jamestown Interclub Council's Woman of the Year.

In addition to the John D. Hamilton Award, Mrs. Phillips was also honored with a special proclamation from New York state, which was presented by Senator Catharine Young.
