Margaret Nyweide

Margaret Nyweide, 75, of Clymer, N.Y., died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at her home on Brownell Road.

She was born in Clymer, N.Y., the daughter of Clifford and Mabel Damcott TenHuisen.

Margaret graduated from Clymer Central School in 1955, Edinboro University in 1973 and completed her master's work at Fredonia in 1975. Over the course of her life, she spent times as a teacher, real estate broker and tax assessor.

Margaret had a lifelong love of Morgan horses. She was an active member of various local and national horse associations, riding, driving and competitively showing horses since 1957.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Jay Nyweide, whom she married July 22, 1955; four sons: Christan (Molly) of Brocton, Clifton (Karen) and Crandall (Cathy), both of Clymer, and Curtis (Melissa) of Bear Lake, Pa.; a brother, Paul (Josie) TenHuisen and a sister, Thelma Heil, both of Clymer; five granddaughters: Nichole Goetzinger, Morgan Nyweide, Megan Nyweide, Samantha Nyweide and Ava Nyweide; and three grandsons: Dakota Nyweide, Stephen VanRenseselaer and Ryan Nyweide.

Margaret was preceded in death by her mother and father; her brother, Maurice; and her brother-in-law, John Heil.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Nov. 16, at the Abbe Reformed Church in Clymer, with funeral services to follow. Burial will be at the Holland Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Clymer Volunteer Fire Department; or Clymer Hill Reformed Church; or Abbe Reformed Church.

Arrangements are being handled by the Spitzer Funeral Home, Clymer.
