The Theta Beta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority met recently at the home of Joyce H. Anderson.
Inta Damcott and Brenda Meeder were co-hostesses for the evening. Mrs. Anderson presented her program "Harvest Festivities." Guests Amy and Katherine Schultze demonstrated and aided members to fashion Halloween pumpkins adorned with witches hats and scarey Halloween items. During the program, Mrs. Anderson read scary tales from Ghostly Adventures by Christopher Balzano.
Following the program, Mrs. Anderson presided at a business meeting. The Service Committee, along with chapter members, organized and delivered Halloween fruit baskets to the Mayville Senior Apartments in Mayville. In November, the Sherman North Haven Senior members will receive Thanksgiving treats.
Service projects for Christmas and the spring were also discussed. The Social Committee finalized plans for the chapter's birthday celebration and the revealing of secret sisters at Zebro's on The Lake Harbor House.
Concluding the business meeting, Rose VanVolkenbury read from the Book of Beta Sigma Phi on Pledge Training. Inta Damcott won the white elephant giveaway.
