Donald A. Dennerlein, 73, of 1 Winchester Road, Lakewood, N.Y., passed away at 10:44 p.m. Wednesday, (Nov. 7, 2012), in WCA Hospital.
An area resident since 2000, he was born July 23, 1939, in White Plains, N.Y., a son of the late John "Jack" and Dorothy Ackerley Dennerlein.
He was a graduate of White Plains High School and earned his bachelor's degree in ceramic engineering from Alfred University.

Before his retirement, he was a ceramic engineer working in research and development in the glass industry.
He will be remembered as a loving and caring person, who enjoyed spending time singing with his barbershop groups over the years. He also loved skiing, sailing and watching the stock market. He was a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society for more than 43 years and a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club.
Surviving are his wife, Karen Peterson Dennerlein, whom he married July 2, 1983; his brother-in-law, Kim (Becky) Peterson of West Ellicott; as well as his nieces and nephews: Janet Hobbs, John Dennerlein, Jesse Dennerlein, Chris Dennerlein, Jack Dennerlein, Bethany Peterson and Krista Peterson.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Dennerlein.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home.
