Seven local residents are in custody after investigators from two agencies worked together in a joint effort that culminated with a seizure of a large quantity of marijuana, guns and growing equipment on Thursday.
Investigators from the Jamestown Police Department and the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team obtained and executed five search warrants on Thursday morning at 5:45 a.m. In the five homes that were searched, investigators seized approximately 700 growing marijuana plants, 14 pounds of dried marijuana with a street value estimated at $35,000, 37 long guns, one hand gun, a quantity of cash and numerous items used for growing and cultivating marijuana with an estimated value of $20,000.
Angel L. Pacheco, 37, and Gloria Pacheco, 32, both of Jamestown were charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class D felony, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawfully growing marijuana. Investigators searched the residence and found the subjects to be in possession of more than 400 marijuana plants, 2 pounds of dried marijuana and a quantity of cash. They were both transported to the Jamestown City Jail where they are awaiting arraignment.

Eric R. Truver, 22, and Jillian Hilton, 22, both of Jamestown were charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class E felony, and unlawfully growing marijuana. During the search, investigators found 85 marijuana plants growing inside the home, as well as 10 ounces of dried marijuana. Both of the subjects at that location were taken to the city jail pending arraignment.
David P. Truver, 51, of Jamestown was charged with unlawfully growing marijuana. When investigators executed the search warrant at Truver's residence, they came upon another growing operation. Truver was found to be in possession of 83 marijuana plants. He was also taken to the city jail pending arraignment
Investigators were assisted at the Jamestown locations by inspectors from the Department of Development and the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities. All three locations had previously been condemned by building inspectors as they were deemed unsafe to be occupied. They were also found to have had the power modified in an attempt to avoid payment for power usage.
Mark A. Truver, 54, of Lakewood was charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class C felony. During a search of his residence, investigators seized 12 pounds of dried marijuana, a quantity of cash and 15 long guns. He was taken to the New York State Police barracks in Jamestown where he was booked and is awaiting arraignment.
Scott B. Truver, 55, of Busti was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawfully growing marijuana. He was found to be in possession of 170 growing marijuana plants. Investigators also located 22 long guns in the residence at 1239 Big Tree Road. He was also taken to the New York State Police barracks in Jamestown pending arraignment.
The investigation into the illegal sale and growing of marijuana in the greater Jamestown area is continuing and more charges are pending against the subjects.
