Jacob Lapp, 86 of Cassadaga passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012.
Born Oct. 25, 1926, in Lancaster County Pa., he resided with his family in Cassadaga, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, who died in May, 2003.

His three sons and nine daughters survive him: Rebecca (Dennis) Cimo, Amos (Rebecca) Lapp, Lydia Lapp, Drusilla (Peter) Gon-zalez, Nancy Torres, Lavina (Tony) Balona, Chris Lapp, Barbara Lyn (Mauricio) Espinoza, Rachel (Harry) Kellogg, Hannah Lapp, Su-sanna Lapp and Nathan (Marci) Lapp.
Also surviving are 29 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Hannah King, Susie Stoltzfus and Re-becca Stoltzfus.
True to his lifelong belief in simplicity, Dad re-quested his death arrangements be carried out in a practical and economical way.
A private burial will take place at the Charlotte Center Cemetery.
The family would like to welcome friends and ac-quaintances to the home of Tony and Lavina Balona, 7796 Barnum Road, Cassa-daga, on Saturday Nov. 10 from 2 to 7 p.m.
