BUFFALO - Lindsay Forthman of Salamanca was sixth and Veronica Schuver of Southwestern seventh in diving to highlight local athletes in the Section 6 swimming and diving championships at the Flickinger Center on Friday.
Forthman came up with 316.50 points and Schuver added 307.75 points.
Southwestern was seventh in both the 200 medley relay (1.58.28) and the 400 freestyle relay (3:47.73).
Sydney Burk, Shelby Luz, Katie Lawton and Xiane Smith made up the 200 medley unit and Burk, Smith, Sydney Thomas, Kelsey Powers comprised the 400 freestyle relay.
Clarence dominated the 34-team field with 389 points followed by Lockport with 223 points, Williamsville East with 207 points and Orchard Park with 150.
Southwestern was ninth with 114 points, Salamanca 23rd with 14 points, Jamestown and Springville tied for 29th with six points, Frewsburg 33rd with four points and Dunkirk/Silver Creek with one point.
Smith was ninth in the consolation of the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.85, Morgan Scarpino of Frewsburg 13th with a 26.43 and Jessica Fish of Salamanca 15th with a 26.5.
Southwestern came in ninth in the 200 freestyle relay (1:46.36). That team included Katie Lawton, Jillian Lawton, Powers and Thomas.
Burk came in 10th with a 1:03.76 and Smith was 14th with a 1:05.10 in the consolation of 100 backstroke.
Burk was also 15th in 57.03 for the Trojans in the 100 freestyle and Katie Lawton was 13th in the 100 butterfly with a 1:04.82.
Thomas was 11th in the 500 freestyle (5:28.29) and 12th in the 200 freestyle (2:01.86)
Emily Kling of Jamestown placed 13th with a 1:11.50 in the 100 breaststroke.
Kling, Anayra Andino, Adrianna Roehmholdt and Abbi Johnson, finished 16th with a 2:05.19 in the 200 medley relay.
