Francis E. "Gene" Hiller, 78, of Elmwood Avenue, Falconer, passed peacefully on Tuesday morning Oct. 30, 2012, at WCA Hospital.
He was born Aug. 29, 1934, in Sinclairville, the son of Marion and Blanche Hiller. He later lived in Randolph, Kennedy and Orange City, Fla., before returning to the area he loved.
Gene attended Randolph Central School, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He had been employed by Dahlstrom's, Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Plant, Proto Tool and Scotty's Hardware. He was an avid wood and natural Mr. Fix-It. In later years, he found the love of creating stained glass and knitting.

He is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate of 52 years, Marjorie (Fairbanks) Hiller; cherished daughter, Linda and her husband, Timothy Olson; two brothers: Robert and David Hiller of Florida; two grandchildren: Rachel and Timothy; two great-grandchildren: Evan and Nick; and two of his best buddies: Odin and Baldur.
He was preceded in death by two baby boys and his parents.
Honoring his wishes, no memorial service will be held. Any donations can be made to the Chautauqua County Blind Association in his honor.
