JNP To Host Winter Coat Drive
On Monday, Joint Neighborhood Project will launch a free giveaway of winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves for adults (limited supply for children) in the community. One item per person in the household will be given. Donations of new or gently used coats are gratefully accepted. The drive will continue while supplies last or until the end of the year. JNP's hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The agency is located at 532 E. Second St., Jamestown. For more information, call 664-7101.
Snowmobile Classes Set
Several snowmobile safety classes have been scheduled for Chautauqua County. Participants must be 10 years old to attend and the class is free for 10- to 17-year-olds. Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club will host the class Saturday at 8 a.m. at the clubhouse, 7239 Hannum Road, Mayville. Ellery Sno Cruisers will host the class on Nov. 10 at 9 a.m. at the Maple Springs Fire Hall, Ellery Road, Maple Springs. Cherry Creek Snow Goers will host the class on Nov. 24 at 9 a.m. at the Cassadaga Fire Hall, 22 Miller Place, Cassadaga.
Bible Study Set For Tuesday
The ladies Bible study, "Here and Now ... There and Then,'' will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Levant Wesleyan Church, Route 394, between Falconer and Kennedy. Church Plans Rummage Sale
Emmanuel Temple, 1015 N. Main St., will hold a rummage sale in the church basement from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Saturday will feature a $3 bag sale.
Sale Set For Election Day
Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church, corner of South Main Street and Cole Avenue, Jamestown, will host an Election Day bake and craft sale from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6. Handmade crafts, baked goods and lunch will be available. For more information, call the church office at 488-1680.
Valley Historical Society To Meet
SINCLAIRVILLE - The next meeting of the Valley Historical Society will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the American Legion 1280, 228 Maple Ave., Cassadaga. Todd Langworthy, Pomfret historian, will present the program and nomination of officers for 2013 will take place.
Election Day Dinner Planned
KIANTONE - The Kiantone Independent Fire Department, 2318 Stillwater-Frewsburg Road, Route 60, Jamestown, will hold an Election Day dinner from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dinner will include Swiss steak, real mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, roll, pie or cake and beverage. The cost is $9 for adults; $5 for children, ages 5 to 12; and free for children ages 4 and under.
