Art For Advocacy

Christ First Sunday School Donates Art To Child Advocacy Program

October 30, 2012
The Post-Journal

The Christ First United Methodist Church Sunday school recently donated art work to the Child Advocacy Program to decorate the program's new office space.

The background was sponge painted by the pre-kindergarten through third grade classes. The trees were cut out and decorated with buttons for apples by the fourth through sixth grade class. Youth from seventh through 12th grades cut out the little people and the sun and accented them with glitter. All students from the Sunday School took part in the creation.

The Sunday school is running a Sunday School Attendance Contest with points awarded for attendance, scripture memorization, carrying a Bible to church and bringing new friends. Contest prizes will be awarded at the upcoming Halloween Party from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Sunday School will also host a visit from Rainbow The Clown at the Halloween Party.

There will be games, cider and donuts and surprises. Prizes will be awarded for costume design.

Friends are invited to attend by reservation by calling the church office at 664-5803.
