Members of the Kennedy and Falconer volunteer fire departments recently spent a morning at Temple School in Kennedy teaching children about fire safety and prevention. Children watched a safety video and instruction by Tammy Yeager and were then escorted by Sparky to a crew of awaiting firefighters and EMTs for tours of equipment and trucks. Chief Greg Scott of the Kennedy Fire Dept. said you can spend millions of dollars on fire trucks and equipment but a few priceless hours with the children is the best fire prevention of all. This is an annual event during Fire Prevention week.
