CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
FRENCH CREEK Timothy R. Jones, 21, of Pittsburgh, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and making an unsafe turn without signaling at 12:10 a.m. Sunday. According to police, Jones was pulled over after making a U-turn in the intersection of Mann and Conway roads without signaling the movement. He was charged and will be in court later.
ELLICOTT POLICE
Kenneth M. Smith Jr. of Falconer was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal trespassing on Sunday. According to police, officers received a call of an unwanted person refusing to leave a residence. Upon arrival, they allegedly found Smith intoxicated and not appropriately clothed. He was taken into custody, arraigned and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.
JAMESTOWN POLICE
Charles H. Karr Jr., 37, was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child at 7:37 p.m. Sunday. According to police, officers were dispatched to 129 Maple St. for a physical domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the people involved. They saw a man running toward the back of the house, but were able to stop him as he got out the rear door and identify him as Karr. He was told several times by officers to stop and get on the ground before complying and being taken into custody. According to a woman in the residence, Karr punched her in the ribs during a domestic incident that occurred in front of two children at the residence, ages 12 and 14. Karr then allegedly punched the 12-year-old child in the ribs. He was taken to the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
