Carolyn Norton Dulmus, 80 of Rocky Mount, Va., formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., died Oct. 27, 2012, in Franklin Health and Reha-bilitation Center in Rocky Mount, Va. No services will be observed and her burial will be in Clymer Center Cemetery, Clymer, N.Y.
Carolyn was born Sept. 1, 1932, in Scio, N.Y., to Oak and Gladys Dexter Norton, and was a graduate of Mayville High School. She married John E. Dulmus on Aug. 25, 1950, in Norfolk, Va. She co-owned and operated with her husband, John, both Norton Sign Co. in Gerry, N.Y., and Cookie's Place Restaurant in Kim-ball Stand, N.Y., prior to an early retirement.
She is survived by three siblings: Alisa (Bob) Miller of Hollister, Calif., Kandy Henely of Atlanta, Ga., and Oak (Gail) Norton Jr. of State College, Pa.; two daughters: Kandi (Tom) Siddle of Rocky Mount, Va., and Catherine N. Dulmus of East Amherst, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Yvette Reese of Hampton, Va., Aaron (Becca) Siddle of Allison Park, Pa., Jason (Jennifer) Siddle of Dacula, Ga., and Joshua (Rebecca) Dulmus of Olean, N.Y.; as well as five great-grand- children: Sam, Holland, Kaitlyn, Sarah and Rachael.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Norton; her husband, John, in 1978; and son, John E. Dulmus Jr., in 2002; and grandchil-dren: Katie E. Dulmus in 1982 and Abigail V. Dulmus in 2007.
Carolyn requested that memorials be made to the Abigail V. Dulmus Holiday Endowment Fund of the Rehabilitation Center at 1401 Buffalo St., Olean, NY 14760.
