Additionally, the Marco Polo Auxiliary club has named as its officers: Mary Racitano, president; Ruth Boscia, vice president; Frances Lunetta, secretary; and Dorthy Galati, treasurer.

The auxiliary club recently celebrated Halloween with a dinner attended by 30 members and guest.

The Marco Polo Club is one of the oldest functioning clubs in the Jamestown area.

The Marco Polo Club was established in 1936. Originally the club functioned out of members' homes, however in 1957 it purchased the building where it currently meets.

The Marco Polo Club has members who have been with the club for over 40 years, however it is always looking for new members.

The club has spaghetti dinners once a month, which is open to the public, and hosts other monthly events. The club usually plays cards on Friday afternoons.

"We used to have a scholarship for local students, but unfortunately we can't raise enough money anymore to support that," said Joe Conti. "The times are making it tough on every club around here, but we've got good members, so we'll keep on going. We always appreciate when people take interest in becoming a new member, as well."

Meetings for the Marco Polo Club are held the first Wednesday of each month. If interested in joining, call 483-3957.
