Linda C. Steck, 66, of Elk Grove Calif., died suddenly, Oct. 19, 2012, in Sutter General Hospital, Sacramento, Calif.
She was born Oct. 18, 1946, in Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter of the late Frank and Bessie White, and graduated from Jamestown High School class of 1964.
She graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Louis Steck; a daughter Amy Cuellar and son-in-law, Tim Cuellar and a son, Shawn Steck of Sacramento; and her precious grandchildren: Zachary and Isabelle Cuellar of Sacramento; stepdaughter, Lisa Short and step grandchildren: Kurtis and Katie Short of Jamestown; her brother, Brian White of Hemet, Calif.; and a niece, Allison White also of Hemet, Calif.
Linda enjoyed needle pointing, sudoku, and traveling. She traveled to Europe several times, England, Scotland and Ireland, her favorite place was Switzerland and she had just returned from her Island paradise, the Island of Kauai and the Limahuli Botanical Gardens.
Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Elk Grove, Calif.
