Mary R. Hansen, 92, of 18 Drake Ave., Silver Creek, N.Y., formerly of 647 Falconer St., Jamestown, N.Y., passed away at 4:44 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 27, 2012) in the Lake Shore Hospital, Irving, N.Y.
A lifelong area resident, she was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Falconer, N.Y., a daughter of the late Michael and Frances Gallardo Ribaudo.
In earlier years she had worked for the former National Worsted Mills and for Hopes Windows.

She was a former communicant of St. John Catholic Church and will be remembered as one who loved to play cards with her family and spend time knitting. She was also an avid reader and loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are a son, Steven W. (Toni) Hansen, with whom she made her home in Silver Creek; a daughter, Kathleen A. (Bill) Whitmore of Kennedy, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Timothy (Jennifer) Whitmore of Jamestown, Corey (Katy) Whitmore of Gerry, N.Y., and Steven Hansen and Philip Hansen both of Silver Creek; two great-grandchildren: Kayla Whitmore of Jamestown and Lauren Whitmore of Gerry; and two sisters: Josephine Runfola of Florida, and Jenny Romyak of Buffalo, N.Y.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gordon E. Hansen, whom she married April 19, 1952, and who died April 9, 1991; four sisters: Rose Ribaudo, Fannie Gaeta, Lena Hamlin, Frances Civa; and a brother, Joseph Ribaudo.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor of Holy Apostles Parish, will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
