LAKEWOOD - Experienced floor installer Matt Burnett has expanded his business.
Burnett, who has been installing floors for 15 years, has opened up a new retail location. In September, Burnett and his wife, Kate, opened Burnett's Flooring Services, 5 Fairdale Ave., Lakewood, located across the street from the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club.
"I had been thinking about it (opening a retail location) and finally decided 'Why not do it all myself,'" he said. "We're now an all-in-one location. It is nice to be able to sell and install products for customers."

Burnett offers carpet, tile, hardwood, laminate and vinyl flooring. He also does repairs and, of course, installations.
"I've been installing for so long, I know what works well and what doesn't work well in any given situation," he said. "I provide quality products and quality installation."
Burnett said providing flooring services runs in the family. His father, Bob, has worked with carpets for 30 years.
"I learned the business from him," he said. "I've always wanted my own store."
Burnett's Flooring Services retail location has about 1,400 square feet, which is used to display carpet, tile, hardwood, laminate and vinyl flooring. The business is a locally exclusive provider of Arley Wholesale flooring.
The business is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and after hours by appointment. For more information, call 763-5216.
