Constance L. “Connie” (Jespersen) Fehlman

Constance L. "Connie" (Jespersen) Fehlman, 87, of Big Four Road, Russell, Pa., passed away on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House.

Connie was born May 15, 1925, on Smith Hill Road, Russell, Pa., the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Lane Roberts.

She was a music teacher in the Russell and Lander area during World War II. She worked at Warren National Bank for several years, and later worked for many years in the register and recorders office from which she retired as deputy.

She was a lifetime member of the Russell United Methodist Church, where she was the organist for 40 years, and also the choir leader for several years. In addition to being the organist at her own church, she also played for Warren State Hospital Interfaith Chapel, the Rouse Home and many other local churches.

She is survived by her one daughter, Karen Rosier, her husband, James, of Crossingville, Pa., and their children Garrett, Renee and Charles; four sons: Larry Jespersen, his wife, Norma, of Warren, Pa., and their children: Wendy and Vicki, Jerry Jespersen, his wife, Marita, of Lander, Pa., and their children: Ryan, Chad and Leah, Martin Jespersen, of Houston, Texas, and his children: Timothy, Dana and Andrew, and Byron Jespersen, his wife, Janet, of Russell, Pa., and their children: Yvonne "Bonnie" and Kenneth; three very special stepdaughters: Donna, Carol and Cathy; her sister, Alice Nasman, of Warren, Pa.; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on Nov. 11, 1987, by her husband of 43 years, Kenneth Leroy Jespersen; her second husband, Donald "Tom" Fehlman; six siblings: Elizabeth Benson, Virginia Szalai, William Lane, Charles Roberts, Vernon Roberts and Minnie Johnson.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Monday, Oct. 29, from, 6 to 8 p.m., and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held at the Russell United Methodist Church, 17 N. Main St., Russell, on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dave Heckman, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Warren County, 2 Crescent Park West, Warren, PA 16365; or the Cancer Care Center, 2 Crescent Park West, Warren, PA 16365.
