Daniel L Robbins, 62, formerly of Jamestown, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, in Florida, due to a motor vehicle accident.
He was born Dec. 27, 1949, in Jamestown, the son of Edward L. and Mildred Carley Robbins.
He was in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1973, stationed at Quonset Point, R.I., and served aboard the USS Forrest Sherman cruising the North Atlantic and the Mediterranean, and was a Blue Nose for crossing the Arctic Circle.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Subia of Austin, Texas; a son Jacob of Palm Bay, Fla.; seven grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine (Carl) Swanson and a brother, Patrick, both of Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his baby brother, David.
No visitation was observed.
