Susan and David Ivett of Forestville, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Cathi Jo Ballard, to Richard M. McMaster II, the son of Rick and Kristy McMaster of Linden, Va. and Sun McMaster of Kearneysville, W.Va.
Ms. Ballard earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Science in education degree in English from the State University at Fredonia, and is a seventh- grade English teacher at Warren County Middle School in Front Royal, Va. Her fiance is pursuing a business administration degree from Ashford University, and is the general manager of Zinga! Frozen Yogurt in Gainesville, Va.
A winter 2012 wedding in Virginia is planned.
