The University of North Texas Press has published a book co-edited by Harold Weiss Jr., a retired Jamestown Community College professor.
"Tracking The Texas Rangers: The Nineteenth Century", edited by Weiss and Bruce Glasrud, a retired California State University professor, is an anthology of material about the Rangers. Selections in the book explore the accomplishments of the Rangers as well as controversies surrounding their organization.
Weiss is the author of "Yours to Command: The Life and Legend of Texas Ranger Captain Bill McDonald", which was also published by the University of North Texas Press.
Weiss retired from JCC in 1990 after a 31-year tenure teaching history, government and criminal justice.
He has a long-time interest in the history of western law and order.
