SOUTH DAYTON - No. 8 Pine Valley breezed by No. 9 West Valley in straight sets, Thursday in Section 6 Class D-2 prequarterfinal girls volleyball action.
Pine Valley won by scores of 25-9, 25-9, 30-28.
Kayla Mansfield was dynamic for the Lady Panthers with 11 kills, 12 assists and three aces. She was buoyed by Laurel Killock's three aces and six kills, Casey Aber's five kills and Ahleen Pollock's 12 assists.
West Valley was led by four kills, two aces and nine digs from Stephanie Schweickert.
Pine Valley now has a tough task at hand as it will travel to play No. 1 Ellicottville on Tuesday for a quarterfinal match.
