New York City Trip Approaching

CHERRY CREEK - The Pine Valley Ladies Auxiliary will take a New York City trip from Friday through Monday to visit Ground Zero, attend the Statue of Liberty Birthday Celebration and shop. For more information, call 287-2148.

Tuesday Story Time Continues

FREWSBURG - Elementary Story Time for children ages 6 through 12 is held in the Myers Memorial Library from 6 to 7 p.m. each Tuesday through Nov. 13. The themes of the three remaining story times are Pumpkins and Jack-o-lanterns, Crows and Scarecrows, Turkeys and Thanksgiving.

Mayville Sets Halloween Hours

MAYVILLE - The village of Mayville will hold trick-or-treat hours from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Library To Host Teen Movie Night

FREWSBURG - This month's Teen Movie Night at Myers Memorial Library will be on Saturday at 6 p.m. The library will be showing the movie "Avengers." There is no charge for this event. Refreshments will be provided.

Dinner To Be Held Saturday

A spaghetti supper sponsored by the Mt. Sinai/Mecca Chapter of the OES will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, at the Masonic Hall on Baker Street Extension, Jamestown. No reservations are necessary. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children. There will be 16 theme baskets available, with tickets costing for $5 for a sheet of 26 chances. Tickets for the meals and baskets will be available at the door. Winners do not need to be present.

Commemoration Set For Westfield

WESTFIELD - A commemoration of the Duetchmeisters 50-year career will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Eason Hall, 23 Elm St., Westfield. The public is welcome to attend.

Church To Host Harvest Meal

BUSTI - The Busti Federated Church, 875 Mill Road, Jamestown, at the five corners of Busti, across from the fire hall, will hold a harvest dinner and craft dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The cost of the dinner is a donation. For more information, call the church office at 664-1586.

'Safe Halloween' Set For Saturday

On Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon, SUNY Fredonia School of Music students in the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternal society will host a "Safe Halloween" event in all of the Mason Hall practice rooms on the Fredonia campus. All children and parents in the community are welcome to attend this free trick-or-treating event.

Sock Hop Set For Saturday

LAKEWOOD - Emeritus at Lakewood, 220 Southwestern Drive, is holding a sock hop Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Dan Warren will provide '50s-style music and Jim Roselle will make a guest appearance. Floats and other refreshments will be served at no cost. Guests will receive a free meal ticket and door prizes will be given away every 15 minutes.
