JAMESTOWN AREA LEAGUE
Luke Heil carried the ball 16 times for 299 yards, including 63 yards and 81 yards for touchdowns, as the Southwestern Spartans varsity belted the South Side Blue Devils, 35-14, on Saturday.
Heil scored on a conversion on a pass from Alex Card and Mayson Matthews scored from the 2 twice and added a conversion run for the winners.
Dom Certo recorded a 29-yard touchdown run and Card ran in the conversion.
Andrew Bernard made 15 tackles while Riley Miller and Certo had 10 each. Mathews recorded two interceptions and Timmy Harris had a fumble recovery for the winners.
Donte Garland and Peyton Olson had touchdowns while Cole MacTavish and Grant Moore were standouts on defense for the South Side.
LAKE SHORE LEAGUE
Cordell O'Brien gained 188 rushing yards and scored on runs of 40, 26 and 11 yards to lead Frewsburg past Chautauqua Lake, 26-6, in recent varsity action.
Along with O'Brien, Joey Martin found the end zone from 45 yards out and Caleb Caldwell caught a two-point conversion pass from Trent Gray.
Chautauqua Lake's lone score was by Danielle Rolfe.
The defensive standouts for the winners were Hunter Whippo, Jarod Sanfilippo, Dylan Green and Martin while Chautauqua Lake's were Tyler Strader and Nate Hammonds.
