Lundine Endorses Nate Shinagawa

Former Congressman and lieutenant governor of New York Stan Lundine has endorsed Nate Shinagawa for Congress in New York's 23rd district. Lundine represented the former New York 34th Congressional district from 1983-87. The 34th district spanned all of Allegany, Chautauqua, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, and Yates counties, with parts of Cattaraugus and Tompkins counties. In 1986, Lundine declined to seek re-election to Congress in order to be Mario Cuomo's running mate for his successful bid as lieutenant governor of New York. "In Nate Shinagawa, we in the Southern Tier have an important opportunity to elect an individual to Congress who has a proven track record of working cooperatively with colleagues in both parties to make fair decisions for the people he represents," said Lundine.
