CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

MINA - Andrew S. Vanevery, 24, of Sherman was charged with failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated and blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more after a motor-vehicle accident Saturday. Police say Vanevery was traveling south on Route 426 when he crossed over the center of the road and struck a northbound vehicle at 4:25 p.m. Sheriff's deputies found Vanevery to be intoxicated. He will appear in Town of Mina Court at a later date.

HANOVER - Tyler Shear, 18, of King Road, Forestville, was charged with second-degree harassment Friday. Sheriff's deputies and New York State Police responded to Center Street in Forestville for a harassment complaint at 4:20 p.m. Investigation resulted in Shear being charged after he allegedly harassed and threatened another person. He will appear in Town of Hanover Court at a later date.

POMFRET - Daniel Bonafede, 27, of Irving was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, speeding, uninspected motor vehicle and open container Friday. Sheriff's deputies observed a vehicle speeding on Route 20 at 1:18 a.m. The vehicle was stopped and Bonafede was found to be the operator. Further investigation revealed that he was intoxicated. He will appear in Town of Pomfret Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA - David Gray, 48, of Mayville, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, failure to keep right and illegal turn Oct. 13. Sheriff's deputies observed a vehicle fail to keep right on Route 394 at 2:16 a.m. The vehicle was stopped on Valley Street for the observed violations and Gray was found to be the operator. He will appear in Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.

WESTFIELD - Tyler Berry, 18, of Portland was charged with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more and minor in possession of alcohol Tuesday. Police say Berry was involved in a motor-vehicle accident on McKinley Road in the town of Westfield at 8:42 p.m. Berry was allegedly seen leaving the scene and driving to his residence. Sheriff's deputies were called to investigate and Berry was found to be intoxicated. He will appear in Town of Westfield Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Chad D. Marino, 20, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault Friday. Jamestown police officers were called to a South Main Street address for a report of a domestic dispute at 8:28 p.m. Upon arrival, officers learned that Marino punched a male victim in the face causing injury. He was taken to City Jail without incident and held pending arraignment.

Claytoven Allen Leeper, 22, of Jamestown was charged with no/inadequate headlights, disorderly conduct and second-degree obstructing governmental administration Saturday. Police say a vehicle was observed traveling west on West Third Street at 2:54 a.m. with no headlights on. The vehicle allegedly turned rapidly north onto Jefferson Street and was later stopped on West Seventh Street at Rose Alley. Leeper was found to be operating the vehicle and attempted to walk away from the traffic stop. He allegedly swore at officers and was taken to City Jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

Joseph S. Pollaro, 50, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault Saturday. Jamestown police officers responded to a Broadhead Avenue address for a report of a domestic dispute where a female victim was struck in the face and had a possible broken nose. Upon arrival, Pollaro was identified as the suspect after officers observed the female victim's injuries. Pollaro was located at the scene and taken to Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.

Thomas Leroy Hearst, 22, of Panama was charged with disobeying a traffic-control device, driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher Saturday. Jamestown police officers observed a vehicle turn west off of North Main Street onto West Third Street at 12:43 a.m. and stopped the suspect vehicle. Hearst was found to be the operator and further investigation revealed that he was intoxicated. He was taken to Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

Zachary A. Wilson, 19, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny Friday. Jamestown police responded to a Weeks Street address for a report of a larceny at 11:30 p.m. After speaking with the victim and Wilson, it was determined that Wilson had stolen the victim's debit card and made several purchases. Wilson was taken to Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

ELLICOTTVILLE - Mathew L. Grimes, 19, of 3878 Ellicott St., Salamanca, was charged with violation of probation Wednesday at 9 p.m. He was taken into custody and will appear in Cattaraugus County Court at a later date.

ELLICOTTVILLE - Sherry Krytus, 22, of 4424 Route 98, Franklinville, was charged with petit larceny Tuesday at 11:30 p.m. She was turned over to the Franklinville Police Department.

LITTLE VALLEY - Joshua P. Tyler, 26, of 203 Ninth St., Olean, was charged with violation of probation Friday at 9:28 p.m. Tyler turned himself in to police and held pending arraignment.
