Lucille L. Reed, 92, of Memory Gardens, formerly of 123 Prospect St., Jamestown, went to her eternal reward Friday, Oct. 19, 2012.
Born Sept. 8, 1920, in Laona, daughter of the late William T. and Martha P. Wanamaker Reed. A Chautauqua County resident all of her life she was a 1937 graduate of Ellington High School and a graduate of Jamestown Business College.
Lucille was employed for over 42 years as an underwriter for Jamestown Mutual Insurance/Uniguard Mutual of Jamestown retiring in 1985.

She formerly served as a Grey Lady at WCA. She enjoyed and had taken classes in painting and also enjoyed knitting for charity. Lucille and her sister Erma Jean were active on the Ellington High School schoolmates reunion committee.
Her love was her family. She served as the family historian and enjoyed taking care of members of her family. Lucille was a dedicated daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Sister of the late Stanley E. Reed and Erma Jean Reed Hamilton; and aunt of Linda Reed Earle of Jamestown and Allan E. (Kathy) Reed of Pittsfield, Pa. She is also survived by several additional nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation 3 to 6 p.m. Monday. Burial in Cherry Creek Cemetery.
