Retha M. Rumbaugh, 85, formerly of 26 E. Elmwood Ave., Falconer, passed away Friday (Oct. 19, 2012) in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center.
She was born May 30, 1927, in Kittanning, Pa., the daughter of the late Elmer P. and Carolyn Gallagher Brink.
Retha attended Cowansville schools and had been a homemaker for most of her life.

Retha was very religious Christian and loved quot-ing Bible scriptures. She enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, quilting, canning and taking care of her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Wanda (Butch) Brill of Kennedy; two sons: Larry B. (Linda) Rumbaugh of Gladewater, Texas, and Donald L. "Duck" (Kathy) Rumbaugh of Virginia Beach, Va.; six grandchildren: Gary Rumbaugh of Texas, Tricia Rumbaugh of Pennsylvania, Gregory (Cristi) Rumbaugh of Texas, Michelle "Sissy" Rumbaugh (John) of Virginia, Jason (Charlene) Loucks of Virginia, and Hope (Andrew) Hill of Bemus Point; 12 great-grandchildren; and a nephew Harry Brink of Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry B. Rumbaugh, whom she married Sept. 11, 1945, who died Aug. 19, 1999, and three brothers: John, George and Lawerence Brink.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Phil Shay, pastor of Wayside Chapel, will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer.
Friends will be received by the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
