Evangeline (Van) M. Munson, 85, of Lutheran Social Services, formerly of 155 N. Pearl St., Frewsburg, died, Tuesday (Oct. 16, 2012) at WCA Hospital.
She was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Jamestown, the daughter of Fred and Dora Sheath Short.
She had been employed as a bartender at the Frewsburg Legion.

She was a member of the Samuel Derby Post 556 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed playing bingo.
Evangeline was survived by two daughters: Roxanne Dubois of Jamestown, and Linda (Ted) Seekins of Frewsburg; a son, Randy Munson of Frewsburg; 11 grandchildren: Ryan, Tim, Dustin, Jennifer, Kristy, Deena, Dakota, Danielle, Nikki, Tyler and Taylor; and several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clair Munson, who died in 1985; and a sister, Evelyn VanGelder.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. The Rev. Ronald Lemon, pastor of the Koinonia Christian Fel-lowship, Frewsburg, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
