Michelle L. Matteson

Michelle L. Matteson, 34, of 2555 Palm Road, Jamestown passed away unexpectedly Monday (Oct. 15, 2012), in WCA Hospital.

She was born Dec. 21, 1977, in Jamestown, the daughter of Thomas P. and Vicky L. Matteson.

Michelle was a 1996 graduate of Falconer High School and was active in the marching band, soccer, cheerleading and was a member of the National Honor Society. She gra-duated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in animal science.

Michelle enjoyed quilting, sewing and making clothes. Her future plans were to receive a degree in fashion design.

Michelle is survived by her mother, Vicky L. Matteson and stepfather, Doug Burdick; two sisters: Julie (Robert) Pawlak and Amy Anderson, all of Jamestown; her brother, Daniel Matteson of Columbus, Ohio; her maternal grandmother, Lois Swanson of Falconer; four aunts: Deborah Tamilin of Erie, Pa., Kathy (Larry) Trask of Falconer, Marlene (Bruce) Ma-cey of Falconer, and Sally (Jon) Saff of Falconer; three uncles: Ron (Yvonne) Hammond of Newark, Ohio, Boyd (Mary Lou) Matteson of Ashville, and Keith (Judy) Matteson of Westfield; two nieces: Ashley Anderson and Jordan Pawlak; two nephews: Nicholas and Cameron Pawlak; several cousins and her extended family: Jennifer (Brian) Brentley and their children: Hannah and Conner, Kevin Brent-ley and his children: Kayla and Emily, and her best friend and constant companion her dog, Zoey.

Michelle was known for her kindness to everyone. She loved sewing and making gifts for all. Her courage and love of life was an inspiration to all her family and friends. Michelle never gave up. She is home with the Lord, walking hand in hand with her Dad who was her best friend.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Matteson; her paternal grandparents Lyle and Ruth Matteson and maternal grandfather, Wayne Hammond.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Hillcrest Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry McCann will offici-ate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer.

Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home.
