Christmas Bazaar Space Available

The Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center, 715 Falconer St. in Jamestown is holding a Christmas Bazaar on Thursday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Christ's Chapel. "We have space available for new vendors to join us," said Annie Gustafson, activities director. "There is a small fee to participate. Our customers include employees, residents, family members and the community." Lunch will also be available. For more information vendors can contact Ms. Gustafson at 665-8122.

Tea Party Tickets Now Available

An American Girl Christmas Tea Party will be held at Moonbrook Country Club on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. "Live" American Girl dolls will be available for pictures. A buffet lunch will be offered as well as a beauty spa, hair styling and manicures for an extra charge. Tickets are $30 per adult and $25 for children 12 and under. A pre-event giveaway is being held for Caroling, American Girl's newest doll. Tickets are $5 for one or $10 for three. For more information and reservations to the Nov. 17 event, call 450-2272. Ellington Cancels Budget Workshop

ELLINGTON - Town of Ellington budget workshop meetings scheduled for today and Wednesday, Oct. 31, have been cancelled. A public hearing on the 2013 budget will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29. The public is welcome to attend.

Recruiter Classes Begin Today

Two "Train the Recruiter" classes will be held in Chautauqua County. The first class will be at 7 p.m. today at the Chautauqua County Office of Emergency Services, 2 Academy St., Mayville. The second class will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Sunset Bay Fire Department, 12798 Alleghany Road, Irving. The courses are designed to give fire department officers, recruitment coordinators and members the skills and resources necessary to effectively reach out into their community and their own ranks to recruit additional members. Meet A Patriot Event To Be Held

ELLINGTON - A Meet-A-Liberty Patriot talk is set for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the Farman Free Library, Thornton Road, Ellington, across from the town park. The talk will focus on riflemen preliminaries, the Battle of Bunker Hill, Gen. Mad Anthony Wayne and the Black Regiment, with emphasis on Thomas Jefferson and his co-patriot's understanding of People's Law, as opposed to Ruler's Law and their wisdom in founding a constitutional republic. Space is limited and pre-registration is encouraged by calling 490-3880.

Busti Group To Meet Thursday

BUSTI - The Busti Hamlet Development Group will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Busti Fire Hall, 886 Mill Road. The public is welcome to attend.
